The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The SDGs consist of 17 goals and 169 targets, and pledge to "leave no one behind" on the planet. It is a universal commitment not only by developing countries but also by developed countries themselves, and Japan is actively involved in this effort. Appleach is contributing to the achievement of the SDGs as follows.
Appleach, inc. is a member of “Chiba SDGs Partner”
As a company in Chiba Prefecture that is actively involved in the SDGs We have been registered as a “Chiba SDGs Partner”. (Registration number: 354)
The “Chiba SDGs Partner” is a registration system established by the Chiba Prefectural Government to encourage companies in Chiba Prefecture to promote the SDGs and to encourage specific initiatives.
Appleach has been promoting activities that are close to its hometown of Chiba, such as creating a comfortable workplace, promoting remote work, providing generous employee job satisfaction and benefits, and supporting sports for elementary and junior high school students. We will continue to focus on the SDGs and utilize the strengths of our business to solve local and social issues as a member of “Chiba SDGs Partners”.

Promoting health and remote work, creating a comfortable workplace, supporting the local youth

- The health of our employees is of utmost importance. We provide annual health checkups, flu vaccines, a comfortable workspace, in addition to other benefits.
- There is a correlation between the happiness of children and the work style of parents. We are promoting reforms in the way we work, including working remotely. We provide a comfortable work environment, in addition to various benefits to ensure that the families of our employees are also satisfied.
- We are also actively involved in supporting sports for elementary and junior high school students. We support and sponsor young local athletes to help them grow into world-class athletes.
Support in the development of technical and workplace skills

- We provide thorough professional training improving each individual’s qualifications and skills, helping them achieve their own future life goals.
- We continuously provide employees with learning opportunities, supporting the growth of our employees.
- We support employees who wish to develop a certain technical skill, financially supporting those who wish to receive certifications in such areas.
We aim to increase job satisfaction for all employees regardless of age, gender, or race

- We have many female employees and are expanding the scope of their activities. We fully support married women and mothers who wish to continue to work, providing maternity leave, as well as childcare leave.
- We employ a lot of foreign nationals regardless of their gender, race, or ethnicity, and provide them with assistance such as housing support.
- By rehiring elderly workers with various skills and extensive knowledge, we will work to improve the skills of younger workers. Our employees create the core base our business relies on – regardless of age, we seek to help our employees grow.
- We hire young employees new to employment, helping them develop the necessary skill set through internal training programs to meet the needs of our customers.
- We help to develop Digital Transformation (DX) to change people’s lives for the better in every aspects and help our customers improve their economic productivity.
Application of infrastructure contributing to local economic development and welfare

- We support elderly too often left behind in digitization through developing local infrastructure applications that can be used by them. Through developing infrastructure applications that connect generations, supporting elderly who supported us, we aim to create a sustainable society in which all generations play an active role.
Valuing workplace environment, and facing our environmental impact

- We will take care of the environment in Japan and around the world. We are committed to save water. We are commited to keep water as clean as possible. When we wash dishes, we reduce the amounts of detergent, and use sponges that foam easily. We do not flush products aside from toilet paper. Lights and air conditioners are turned off in rooms and areas not in use. Moving towards a paperless future, we avoid wasteful use of copy paper.
Mitigation measures for large scale disaster: Coronavirus, infections diseases, and natural disasters

- Clearing the guidelines of the Business Continuity Plan Certification Policy, in May 2021 we received certification from the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry.
- We take mitigation measures preparing for natural disasters. We established a Business Continuity Plan to speeden the recovery in the case of such events. We prepare so as to speedily reestablish our function as a business to reassure both our employees and their families, ensuring they can return to their lifestyle.
- By fulfilling our corporate social responsibilities, providing safety to our customers, reducing secondary disasters, recovering quickly to ensure job security, and contributing and coexisting with the local community, we contribute to creating a better and more sustainable community.
Ensuring the responsibility and fairness as a company that handles information

- In all departments at our company, the security management system “ISO/IEC 27001:2013” Certification is implemented. As a company that handles personal information in its operations, we monitor inappropriate acquisition, use, and disclosure, to prevent any leaks.
- We periodically put our employees through compliance training programs to raise their awareness.
